Recommendation Letter

Those who are going to apply for a scholarship probably need to submit a recommendation letter. The person should support you, because you are the one who needs the scholarship best of all! To find a right person is very important. This will increase your competitiveness. Aren’t you worth to get a free education?
So you think whom you can ask to write a recommendation letter. Knowing you for a long time shouldn’t be the main criteria.
Probably it is even better if you ask several people to do that. Read every recommendation carefully, choose the best one. You need an affirmation that you are a great candidate to get the scholarship. Make sure the letter has the genuine assessment of the skills and capacities you have.
So the person has been chosen. Let him/her know why it is so important that he/she should do it for you. Explain all the purposes and reasons. Rule number one is BE POLITE, it is the best way to approach the person.
If someone is writing a recommendation letter for you, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be involved. Participate in the process of writing!
He/she will probably need to know some details about you (for instance the activities characterizing you as a competitive applicant). Make sure the person writing a letter of recommendation has a copy of your essay.
